About Me

Hello there, thank you for checking out my page! My name is Julija and I'm a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist. I'm all about creating a safe and ethical space for you. As a proud member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I'm here to support you on your journey.

I have always had a keen interest in understanding the inner workings of our minds. I strongly believe that individuals can reach their full potential by being heard in an open and accepting environment.

In my core training, I mainly focused on Psychodynamic and Person-Centred psychotherapies.

The Psyhodynamic approach helped me understand how someone's past experiences can show up in the challenges they face in their current lives and relationships.

Person-Centred theory taught me important skills like being open-minded, accepting, and understanding of each person's unique situation. This helps in identifying each person's strengths, and discovering potential for personal growth.

However, my experience has taught me that traditional psychotherapy can sometimes miss the link between the mind and the body. This missing link sparked my interest in learning about and integrating nervous system regulation techniques and somatic experiencing methods into my counselling practice. By blending these approaches I aim to give each person a chance explore paths of healing through mind, body and lifestyle changes.

My therapy space is designed to provide a safe and supportive environment for healing and personal growth. I believe that incorporating compassion and empathy can be a powerful catalyst for transformation.

My goal is to create a therapeutic setting where you can fully embrace your true self, develop self-compassion, and build resilience. I follow an integrated approach to psychotherapy that combines various techniques such as psychodynamic, person-centered, somatic psychology, and nervous system regulation. This comprehensive approach aims to provide a holistic healing experience.
